I love it, I absolutely love it XD

The whole picture is wonderful and amazing and I'd give it full stars, kite flying with grandpa brings back so many wonderful memories of childhood, spot on! The colors and shadows and highlights are all just so romantic, its like being underwater.

The only thing to say (and this a suggestion or something to think on and not a critique really XD) is the pose of the grandfather, he looks like he's about to call out to the granddaughter, and the little girl looks like she's waiting for the call, the little bit of "huh" on her face, I love it XD Its great~! The expression is wonderful.

The only thing to say is, that poses make the picture tense, like, not the actual picture but you feel like your waiting for him to call her into dinner and that sense of play dwindles, if you're going for a more nostalgic feel then maybe make the grandfather relaxed, like he's enjoying watching his granddaughter play and the little girl laughing or giggling or grinning or something.

I completely love this picture, its absolutely amazing and just makes my heart warm!

I love this ! I am an author. I wrote a children's book set in Japan. (I lived in Japan for 6 years.) I am looking for an artist to make a cover. The book is called Two Brothers Kazu: Weavers of Japan. It takes place in Tomioka in Gunma Prefecture. (I used to live in Gunma and I know the area.) The two brothers inherited a silk farm from their father. The one brother never leaves Tomioka mountain. He is the one who weaves the silk designs into Kimonos for the royal family.
In short, the book is very beautiful. But I need an excellent illustrator to make the cover. I really like your work. I think you capture Japan well and your colors are very bright and alluring.
