This is awesome. I think, the eye is a little bit too high, but who cares about it? I mean, .. the colours are brilliant. Her hair looks like it's burning and the different blues look so fresh and relaxing. A very interessting contrast. I also recognized the different ornaments at the end of her tail. It makes it look even more soft and dreamy, and the outlines are very clean and thin. Must have been very difficult to draw.

Result: A very beautiful picture. I really love it, this is why I'll put it to my favourits.

I hope my english isn't too bad. ^.^

What a lovely piece. It has the charm of manga/anime, but the design elements and flow of Art Nouveau. I love the juxtaposition of the softly detailed scales, rendered almost realistically, with the strong stylization and simplification of her hair.

The composition created by the figure, her fins and hair, all draw the eye; her head and shoulder are central, then the eye follows her hair up, to the right, sweeps down to the fin and back to center where we notice the pearl that was there all along...brilliant and never gaudy.

The warm tones in her hair are startling and sensual against the cool jewel tones of her watery world...fire in the water.

I especially like the suggestion of a human anatomy in her tail. Is that a bent knee in her fishy torso? Is she really a mermaid or a human in disguise...or something in between? The ambiguity only adds to the charm.
